FAQs

What age can you start Taekwondo?

1

We offer classes for a wide range of ages, starting from preschool-aged children (age 4-6) through to children (age 6-10), teens (age 10-14) and adults (age 15+). Our programs are tailored to suit each age group, ensuring everyone learns at the right pace in a fun and safe environment.

Do I need any experience to join?

2

Not at all! Most of our students start as complete beginners. Our instructors guide you step-by-step, so you’ll feel comfortable from your very first class.

What are the benefits of Taekwondo?

3

Taekwondo helps improve fitness, confidence, discipline, coordination, and focus. For kids, it supports positive behaviour and self-confidence. For adults, it’s a great way to stay active, relieve stress, and learn self-defence.

Is Taekwondo safe?

4

Yes—safety is a top priority. All classes are run by experienced instructors, and training is structured to suit each student’s age and ability. We focus on control, respect, and proper technique to minimise risk.

What should I wear to my first class?

5

For your first class, comfortable workout clothes like a t-shirt and shorts or track pants are perfect. If you decide to join, you’ll then be able to purchase a Taekwondo uniform (dobok).

How often should I train?

6

Most students train 2–3 times per week, depending on their goals and schedule. We can help recommend the best option based on your age, experience, and availability.

Do you offer trial classes?

7

Yes! We encourage new students to come along and try a class before committing. It’s a great way to meet the instructors, experience the environment, and see if Taekwondo is right for you.

Will my child gain confidence?

8

Absolutely. One of the biggest benefits we see is improved confidence. Through goal setting, positive reinforcement, and structured progression, students build belief in themselves both inside and outside the dojang.

Do you offer gradings and belts?

9

Yes, students have the opportunity to progress through belt levels by attending gradings throughout the year. Gradings recognise progress, skill development, and commitment.

How do I get started?

10

Getting started is easy—simply book a trial class through our website. We’ll guide you through the process and help you find the right class for you or your child.
